Trip--Parent Information September 9, 2009, 7:00 p.m. Welcome Important Information: Mr. Eyler: Trip Director, H.S. Asst. Principal --Dates: depart Monday, May 10, 2010 (evening) return Saturday, May 15, 2010 (morning) 7-8 a.m. --Chaperones: Middle School teachers/staff, one (1) per 15 students. There will also be two administrators with the group. --Cost: the 2009-10 cost will be $644 (six hundred and forty-four dollars) --Payment plan: $99 deposit needed by October 30, 2009, to be registered for the trip. Billing will start after that and will be billed directly to you. At that point you will need to pay in full or begin making payments. Your trip Must be fully paid on or before February 24, 2010. The sooner you register, the better for the overall trip. --Financial aid: Several types available. Will be determined by each 8th grade team based on need, citizenship, academics, behavior, other self-help. Some pay half (1/2) of the total cost. Everyone needs to make the first deposit. Will be determined in December and January. Total amount based on the total number registered. Some require participation in all the fund raising activities also. Scholarships are NOT intended to pay for your student’s entire trip. --Year-long Discipline: participation in this trip is a privilege, not a right. Therefore, students accumulating any of the following will be denied participation in the trip: **out-of-school suspension: 1 or more days up to/including May 10 **in-school suspension: 10 or more days up to/including May 10 **Saturday Morning Detention: 6 assigned by May 8 **school detentions: 15 assigned prior to May 10 --Room, bus, group assignment. Bus and tour groups will be assigned by the chaperones based on teams. Students will have roommates from their own team. There will be 4 students per room with 2 beds. Final decision on all groups remains at the discretion of the school. --FINAL Deadline to register is midnight January 22, 2010. There will be NO EXTENSIONS to anyone for any reason.
